My homepage now has 6 errors after the slider was installed. Some are stupid ones like missing ALT tags for the images. But where can I fix these errors??

If you would like to fix it yourself, most of that code is in the [forum]/dbtech/vbslider/actions/widget.php file. I will work to make it more compliant in the next release.

I only was able to fix the missing alt tags. (when I said stupid ones, I meant I can fix thoughs ones) I tried on the other ones and no luck. I'll just wait for the next release. Thanks!

Any recommendation to fix temp? Thanks.

I worked on it for a couple hours last night without much success. The issue become that once I fix parts of it (mainly the H2 tag inside the span), then I loose the ability to format the content title. I can not longer get it to center. I have a couple more ideas that I can try, but I'm not going to guarantee anything. The loading of the CSS outside of the head was an early fix for a different issue, athough I'm not sure that issue still exists. I haven't looked at that part yet, but it should hopefully be easy. The title I'm not so sure about. Well, let me put it this way: I can get it to validate, but the title will then follow the justification of the rest of the content in the box, which to me, looks bad. If you don't have a problem with it and just want it to validate, then I can tell you the steps to take to make it that way.

It's 100% safe to ignore the validation errors, I wouldn't worry about spending development time on addressing them - especially if they cause headaches implementation wise :)

When I spend $130 for this mod (and was going to purchase more mods from you), and you tell your guys not to worry about fixing the XHTML validation errors, that doesn't sit well with me at all. I would like to display that my site is XHTML valid, and I can't because of your mod. You take money for your mods, you should expect some "headaches".

I will look else where for my other mods. Thanks anyway.

I would like a refund.

Hi there,

Since XHTML validation in no way affects functionality of the mod, or of the site, it is considered a low priority issue.

As per the terms and conditions you agreed to on purchase a refund is only available in 2 conditions - where there is a bug in the pro version that does not exist in the lite version, or where you have not yet downloaded the product. Unfortunately your issue fulfils neither of these criteria and as such we will be unable to process a refund for you. This is standard policy for software - vBulletin itself recently fixed over one hundred and fifty bugs in its software, 31 of which had a severity rating of "Major" or higher, none of which it would have offered a refund for before they were resolved.

In addition a solution to this was offered to you, but it was one which would compromise other functionality. If XHTML validation is important to you I would suggest going that route.

I am sorry your experience with DragonByte Technologies has not been to your satisfaction and that we are not able to live up to your expectations of support. I wish you the best of luck in finding other mod suppliers who are able to live up to your demands regarding minor bugs.

Regards,

Cosmic

And vBulletin pass the XHTML validator before and after the last update. There are also free sliders on vb.org with more features than the your paid version that pass validation. I should of did more research before purchasing I guess.
