Question Reset admin locked out

Just a quick info as to why:

We had a breach about 5 years ago when a moderator had an easy hotmail reminder and a member got in and deleted loads of posts...

We ended up removing quite a few moderators email addys.

Some are now admin on my site, and when I enabled this hack we forgot about the email removal...

Now these admins cannot get a email verification link even though we have now put email addresses in.

Can I reset this somewhere?

Sorry, I'm very much confused on what exactly you're stuck on.

There are a number of admin verification features in vBSecurity, and I'm not clear on which one you're referring to, as email verification is not one of them.

Are you talking about IP authorisation?

Yes Fillip H. IP authorisation.

Basically one of my admin did not have a email address set.

So nothing was sent to him... and now he cant authorise the IP as it was sent out to nothing... I think?

I have put in his email address now, I was wondering without uninstalling and re-installing was there a way to reset his and resend out the link?

You can find the entry for his userid in the table dbtech_vbsecurity_adminauth and manually change verified to 1

An admin today has not received the email from the forums... I dunno why, but he normally gets them, he has a dynamic IP.

However he never and cannot get in the admincp, Is there no way that you could have some kind of re-send authorisation email link?

Otherwise I need to uninstall and reinstall then change all settings back... or install phpmyadmin which I do not really want to do.

Please follow the instructions in my previous post - you can use the Execute SQL Queries function in vBulletin.

For the record, there's nothing wrong with installing phpMyAdmin, you just need to place it behind adequate .htaccess protection. I find it to be invaluable to running a forum, and unless you have a system administrator that can handle any database issues it's a required tool in order to properly handle data corruption issues.
